Everything you need to know to operate your machine safely and efficiently.
To install, raise the squeegee mount bracket and attach the squeegee assembly. Tighten the star knobs by hand, ensuring the assembly can detach if it hooks a fixed object. Connect the vacuum hose securely. Check the squeegee blade roll-out by lowering the squeegee and propelling the machine forward—it should show a 45° deflection along its length. Adjust the blade pitch if the roll-out is uneven.
Inspect the brushes for wear—replace them if the bristles are worn down to the yellow indicator. For installation, align the brush with the motor hub and press it upwards until it clicks into place. If removing, raise the scrub head and press the yellow pad release plunger.
Remove the tank cap, insert a fill hose into the strainer, and fill to the 32-gallon (120-litre) mark. For ec-H2O scrubbing, use only cool water (below 21°C) without detergents. For conventional scrubbing, mix an approved cleaning detergent following the manufacturer’s instructions. Avoid exceeding 60°C water temperature and do not use unapproved chemicals to prevent damage.
This signals that the water conditioning cartridge has expired and requires replacement. Replace the cartridge and reset the ec-H2O system’s timer to maintain optimal cleaning performance.
Clean the squeegee blades after each use to remove debris. Replace them if they are worn or damaged. Ensure proper alignment and roll-out during use. Adjust the blade pitch if the deflection along the squeegee blade is uneven.
Check the detergent tank and refill if necessary. Ensure you are using undiluted, approved cleaning detergents and adjust the detergent mixing knob to the correct ratio. Avoid unapproved chemicals like d-limonene-based cleaners, as they can damage the machine.
Drain both the solution and recovery tanks, then clean and rinse them thoroughly. Remove and clean the brushes or pads. Lower the scrub head and squeegee and secure the machine with tie-down straps for transport. Store it indoors in a dry location, away from freezing temperatures.
Floor scrubber dryers do generate some noise during operation, but many models are designed to minimize noise levels for a more comfortable cleaning experience. If noise is a concern, you can explore models with noise-reduction features or discuss quieter options with our team. For example, all Karcher scrubber dryers have an "eco" mode which lowers the noise level and has the added benefit of extending battery run time.
Regular maintenance is essential to keep your floor scrubber dryer in optimal condition. It's recommended to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning brushes, checking filters, and inspecting belts. Additionally, scheduling professional servicing at regular intervals can help ensure the longevity and performance of your machine.
